Kantech Multi-Technology Readers provide a multi-protocol, multi-frequency solution that reads multiple 13.56 MHz smart card technologies, MIFARE® encrypted sectors, and most of the common 125 kHz proximity cards including ioProx with Kantech XSF format – all from one reader. The readers are perfect if you want to transition to smart cards over time or if you want to utilize both smart cards and proximity cards at your facility. Kantech Multi-Technology Readers make access control more powerful, more versatile, and more cost-effective by allowing you to implement a smart card solution over time. While you are transitioning to smart cards, the Multi-Technology Readers will read both the existing collection of proximity cards and smart cards.

Choose from several ioProx readers that easily meet the demands of any application. The readers are attractive, compact, weatherized, and vandal-resistant, making them suitable for installation in a variety of environments. Depending on the model selected and the environmental conditions, read range varies from 16.5 cm to 73 cm (6.5 in to 29 in). Kantech eXtended Secure Format (XSF) readers are compatible only with Kantech EntraPass software which includes access to over four billion unique codes. ioProx cards are dual-encoded, which means that they contain both XSF and 26-bit Wiegand formats. The same cards can therefore be used with both series’ (XSF and 26-bit Wiegand) of ioProx readers.

ioProx readers easily meet the demands of any application. They are a secure and easy-to-install solution to manage and control access all the while ensuring the safety of people and property. Attractive, compact, weatherized, and vandal-resistant, the se readers are suitable for installation in a variety of environments. Compatible with dual-encoded 26-bit Wiegand and Kantech Extended Secure Format (XSF) proximity cards, these readers seamlessly integrate with access control systems including Kantech door controllers, Kantech Telephone Entry System (KTES) and EntraPass software.

The KT-BB100 allows a battery to be placed anywhere on the right side of any cabinet that has a center raceway. The maximum battery size is 15.24 cm (6 in) Wide x 10.16 cm (4 in) High x 7 cm (2.75 in) Deep.

The KT-BB101 allows a battery to be placed anywhere on the left side of any cabinet. The maximum battery size is 15.24 cm (6 in) Wide x 10.16 cm (4 in) High x 7 cm (2.75 in) Deep.

The KT-CAB4000LDR cabinets are part of the Kantech Multi-Door Controller Kits specifically designed to house and to protect the KT-300, KT-400 and KT-NCC controllers, input modules, output modules and batteries. Large knockouts are provided at the top, sides and bottom of the cabinets for flexible cable routing. There are also two single gang electrical knockouts at the bottom of the cabinets. The KTCAB4000LDR cabinets must be surface mounted. These cabinets are UL listed as alternate enclosures.

The ioProx Transmitter is ideal for long-range (up to 45 m/150 ft) applications such as opening parking gates. The (2- or 4-button) transmitter is available with an optional integrated ioProx tag, which can be read by an ioProx card reader, making it an ideal solution to access both a parking facility and an office building without searching for multiple access cards. The ioProx transmitter uses radio-frequency (RF) technology secured with encrypted coding. The ioProx Receiver is field selectable for either 26-bit Wiegand format or for Kantech Extended Secure Format (XSF).
