Product Info
8 ZONE HARDWIRE TO WIRELESS TRANSLATOR WITH 319.5 MHZ S-LINE ENCRYPTION. LEARNS EXISTING EOL RESISTORS BACKUP BATTERY CHARGING. INCLUDES TRANSFORMER.
8 Zone hardwire to wireless translator with 319.5 MHz S-Line Encryption. Learns Existing EOL Resistors, backup battery charging. Includes transformer.
The Qolsys QS-7130-840 is a S-Line translator that allows you to encrypt and connect up to 8 hardwired zones wirelessly to the IQ Panel 2. The QS-7130-840 automatically learns the sensor’s resistor values, and is the perfect solution for existing systems or new construction.
The IQ Hardwire 8-S offers a cost effective way of integrating hardwired security zones with the IQ Panel. It includes backup battery charging and features end-of-line resistor learning, making rewiring different resistor values a thing of the past. Please note, that the QS-7130-840 is not for use with life safety devices, such as smoke or carbon monoxide (CO) detectors.
Please note, the QS7130-840 translator doesn’t have enough power output (to power Motions, Glass Breaks, etc) for most hardwired sensors. The QS7130-840 has only enough power output for hardwired door/window contacts. So, assuming your existing hardwired system is still up and running, you would simply leave the existing hardwired can (metal box with all the wires) powered up. Make sure to leave the power wires from those particular hardwired sensors (Motion, Glass Breaks, etc.) plugged into the existing system so that they continue to get their power. Then, you just need to transfer only the data wires over and plug them into the QS7130-840 hardwired 8 translator. This setup will allow the translator to translate the sensors, and will allow the existing older system to continue to power these specific sensors (Motion, Glass Breaks, etc.).
Product Features:
Encrypted S-Line sensor technology protects signals sent to the IQ Panel while still providing support for legacy 319.5 systems
LED lighted zones for ease of “learn-in” installation/troubleshooting
EOL resistor learning supports 1-10K Ohm resistors
